through this new, unprecedented situation we are all faced with, I would like to say I hope you and your families are all healthy and keeping the spirits as high as possible. This strange (but very much needed) silence for the Earth didn't make me stop thinking, creating, and wanting to inspire and uplift those around me as much as I can.
As soon as the deconfinement will start, our team at Esperanz'Arts will start organizing concerts again for those in distress and social isolation, those who need music and the arts the most right now: the elderly in hospitals, homeless shelters, but also children with disabilities, women helped by the Salvation Army, as well as the hospital teams in Paris.
The musical life is organizing itself to continue to bring joy to everyone around the world, with new perspectives and possibilities until beautiful concert halls can be filled up again by the moving presence of an audience. My friend Julien Brocal created a series of concerts in the Jardin Musical, in the heart of Brussels, where Paloma Kouider and myself will perform on July 12th, with live streaming and with the help of the best sound quality equipment.
I am very happy to announce I will be hosting a series of podcasts, called " Les Promenades du Jardin Musical ", sharing music and literature which is close to my heart, with readings of poetry and letters from composers, writers, and philosophers, as well as music made by wonderful artists. Every Promenade will have its theme, and the first one will be " TOMORROW ",
We have to imagine a new way of living, traveling, sharing our passion and work with all of you, and never before the ecological and societal questions have been more so linked with the musicial ones for me, as an artist and as a citizen.
Take care of yourself and your loved ones,
